T- Shirts

T-Shirts- everyone wears them, male or female, rich or poor, fat or thin, young or old. When do they come from?  Originally, they were born by sailors in the U. S. Navy. They were worn under their uniforms. T- Shirts get their name from their shape.
Named Desire, by Tennessee Williams. Everyone thought that Brando’s character in the play was supposed to dressed in his underwear, but actually Brando chose to wear T- Shirt himself. He was wearing his own T- Shirt when he arrived for this first rehearsal of the play- he wasn’t half- dressed; he was making a fashion statement.
Brando wore a T- Shirt again in the movie The Wild One in 1954. James Dean did the same a few months later in Rebel Without a Cause, and a new fashion was born.
Colours, patterns, pictures, and slogans were added. Nowadays, you can get hand- painted T- Shirts, and even T- Shirts, ripped T- Shirts, and even T- Shirts with gold sequins onto them.
